Alien Vs Predator

Being a big fan of COD, I did not expect myself to like this game. I tend not to like these styles of games and get bored very easily,.
In the campaign, you can choose 3 different characters to play, marine, alien or predator. Think about it like this, three games for the price of one, fantastic! All campaigns are very exciting no matter which character you choose.

Characters & campaign – Details

Alien – With an alien you will have the ability to climb around, sticking to almost everything. You have the power to bite people’s heads off with your second mouth, you will get a close up and see the teeth sink into the enemy. You can also grab people from behind, stalking your victims without being caught then grabbing them and brutally attack them makes the game fun! Finally you can also attack the enemy with your tail, very fun, not all that powerful. The campaign mode as an alien will appear more to those that like gore and violence, due to the awesome graphics! All in the entire campaign mode as an alien, in my opinion is amazing. The only bad thing I have to say is that it is very repetitive. Stalking your enemy then attacking them, pretty much it, that’s fun though hey? Actually controlling this alien is rather hard, due to the response time between the controller and the game. When it comes to attacking you will find yourself bashing the buttons a while before the alien actually attacks. Running around, it’s very good that you are low down and run very true to the alien in the films. The bad thing is though, when you try going down holes/walls the camera becomes hard to control as you become unaware as to where you are actually running.

Predator – The predator tends to be a mix of both playing the marine and the alien. You stealth around and then attack the marine, by ripping out it’s spines, very gory and exciting. Also you battle against those xenomorphs. Being a predator makes you almost unstoppable, you have a stealth suite (making you stealth around enemies but making it much, much easier than the alien).

Marine – Now personally, this is the hardest character to play. Running around in very dark environments, then all of a sudden something will attack you, hard huh? It’s very nice that they have provided you with flares to help you on your travels but the thing is they don’t last to long and find yourself in the dark again very quickly. After that your thinking, where’s the weapons, how do you attack? Well you can whack the enemy, takes a few whacks, but if your good you will kill them, very funny, it’s just annoying if when attacking an alien for example and they turn around, you tend to find yourself dead 1st, even though you attacked 1st! Also you are armed with a gun too shoot the bitches. I bet your thinking, finally a weapon, but you’ll find it hard to aim on your opponent and also that you run out of ammo very quickly. You may see this as a bad thing but I like it, adds more suspense to the game. The game does exactly what it is supposed to do, scare you! I found myself frequently and physically jumping out of my seat when I was attacked playing as a marine. You do find that you die very quickly as the marine, but that’s because your humans, not some sort of strange creature with acid blood!

Hope you enjoyed the review, I will be reviewing as much new releases as I possibly can. Reviews based on Xbox360 games. Hopefully the youtube video below works, 1st post and attempt with the BB for the site.
