Anyone got his opinions on this game? What did you feel like when you played it the first time? Was it the old Wolfenstein spirit, or was it.. shit? Something new from outer space? Or was it even better then the old Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

RE: Wolfenstein 2009

I've been playing RTCW around 6 years (started in early 2004).
It was 2007 when I first heard about the new Wolfesntein, I was really excited about it and also the other players who played RTCW. We all were wondering how will the new game look like, how it will be about gameplay, graphic, movement, functions etc.
So we were really waiting for it.

In 2009 id Software startd releasing their screenshots and trailers about the game Wolfenstein. Then many people were saying (including me) that 'This game is going to be shit', 'It's an epic fail, RTCW pwns this crap' and so on... But also there were a lot of people also 'Damn, this game looks so cool, the graphics are awesome' and so on... Also the mcuh sci-fi thing was really annoying for me.

I didn't really think much about that game, I was just waiting for the release day to test how the game really is.
In August id Software released the game. For the first time I didn't really want to download it, I've seen the first videos and that's it. Never really mind about to download it.

Happened one my time of my friend said that I should give Wolfenstein a try just to test it - he was really annoying me so I googled up where I can get a good Wolfenstein download.

I downloaded the game, installed it, cracked it, ran it for the first time it's all was lagging like hell... I had to run the game on the lowest settings, I remember everything in the menu looked like in Doom. It was really pixeled out. So in my mind I gave a bad point to perfomance, though graphics looked cool even on the lowest settings, I'm sure they could make the perfomance lower.

I was going in the game and everytime I reached a new level I always got excited what will be on the next level. The story of the game isn't that bad, they did it quite well.

But in the end... When the game ended then I said 'What the hell?! Is this the end...?'. I couldn't really believe that the story has just ended like 'Puff, you've finished the game, now go do anything else!'.
It was really annoying. Now seemed to the story must be ending when it ends.

So in my opinion:
+gameplay.
+graphics.
+special effects.
+soundtracks.
+levels.

-perfomance.
-the waiting time for the game to get released.
-sci-fi elements (there should be less of them, but those assassins looks nice though).

I have it for the Xbox 360 (I'm not sure how many differences there are between PC and xbox 360 for this game...) but it is a pretty fun game.

I was addicted the first week or so that I got it.

I stopped playing because almost nobody plays objective gametypes (stopwatch) ..

Also, I wish it could be more like ET (less 'magical' shit...) and the Team Deathmatch maps are TINY! Literally, I think only 1 or 2 are decent... That brings me to another point, there is only like 6 maps.. It gets boring Sad

I won't even bother this game, just because it never broke the current competitive scene.
