SLAC is a 3rd party anticheat for W:ET, but will soon be compatible with some other multiplayer games. It is currently compatible ONLY with ET 2.60b and ETPro 3.2.6 and is primarily an anticheat for clan matches and public ETPro servers. Is SLAC compatible with Punkbuster? What happens if I run both? (NOTE: This is for W:ET, not COD4) SLAC is not compatible with the official anticheat software used, Punkbuster, because it is very likely that it will cause various cheating-related kicks. Because of this, SLAC is built to block PB from loading while you're using SLAC. The reason this happens is that in order to gain more control of the game, SLAC uses some techniques sometimes used for cheat development (but itself is not a cheat) and thus triggers kicks by Punkbuster. Although designed to block PB from loading, if you somehow manage to either enable PB ingame or join a PB enabled server while using SLAC, please leave the server as quickly as you can because you may get kicked, and report it as soon as you can to the developer.  | |
